This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of different umbilical cord management strategies in preterm infants (before 37 weeks’ gestation), and to provide rankings of the available methods according to their effectiveness and safety profile using a network meta-analysis.
