This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To ascertain the safety and efficacy outcomes in moyamoya disease patients according to: 1) treatment modalities (surgical therapy versus conservative treatment), and 2) surgical techniques (direct versus indirect bypass surgery).
