Our Central Executive Team supports this work and is divided into four directorates. This role reports to the Executive Editor and sits within the Central Editorial Team in the EPM Directorate.
Key areas of responsibility include
- Supporting the smooth running of the editorial process, including tracking articles and maintaining editorial records.
- Coordinating the peer review process, including inviting reviewers, monitoring progress, and following up where required
- Performing quality checks on submitted manuscripts to ensure compliance with editorial policies and procedures.
- Reviewing articles prior to publication to ensure required statements and information are accurately included.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the implementation of new editorial processes and systems.
The successful candidate is expected to have
- Previous experience of providing administrative or editorial support to a team.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.
- The ability to work independently, accurately, and methodically.
- Strong interpersonal skills together with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
