New features in RevMan

Structure your analyses more accurately

We’re pleased to announce four recent improvements to RevMan that will help users to structure analyses more accurately, avoid common Summary of Findings (SoF) issues, and prepare complete synthesis PICOs.

Smarter analysis groups

Users can now define comparison PICs for the analysis groups, then apply them automatically to all analyses in that group. This includes:

  • Population
  • Setting
  • Experimental and control intervention

This means that RevMan users will have a less repetitive setup, and more consistent comparison PICs. Existing analyses can be updated quickly and easily.

Clear classification of Main vs Supporting analyses

When creating a new analysis, users can now select whether it is a Main or Supporting analysis.

This means that analyses can be structured to inform what the users plan to include in the SoF.

Set outcomes (including manual analyses)

Users are now able to set an outcome for every analysis, enabling RevMan to generate a complete synthesis PICO for each analysis. PICOs will be visible both within the analysis and in the analysis list.

Improved setup for synthesis PICOs

Users can now add outcomes, interventions, and covariates directly from the analysis options and from the analysis group screen - making it easier and faster to build analyses without navigating multiple screens.

Coming soon

Later this year RevMan users will be able to create structures SoF tables directly in RevMan, removing the necessity to import from third party systems. We will announce this development when it has been released.

We'd love to get your feedback on working with SoF tables in RevMan. Click here to sign up as a beta tester of the new features.

See the RevMan Knowledge Base for more detail on recent and upcoming developments.
