Interventions to prevent or cease electronic cigarette use in children and adolescents

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:

The co-primary objectives of the review are to:

1. Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to prevent e-cigarette use in children and adolescents (aged 19 years and younger), relative to usual practice or no intervention.

2. Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to cease e-cigarette use in children and adolescents (aged 19 years and younger), relative to usual practice or no intervention.

Secondary objectives are to:

3. Examine the effect of such interventions on child and adolescent use of tobacco.

4. Describe the unintended adverse effects of the intervention (e.g. physical or mental health of individuals, or adverse effects on organisations where such interventions are being implemented).

This is a protocol.
