Cochrane in 2021: an opportunity to reunite with colleagues

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to share more information on the forthcoming virtual session on Monday 22 March 2021 (Tuesday 23 March in some timezones).

This free, online event open to everyone in Cochrane will give members the opportunity to hear updates about key organizational priorities for 2021 and beyond. So far, more than 200 people have registered - you can find out more about the programme and register here: Register for this event

To cover different timezones, the session will be held at 09:00-11:00 GMT (check in your local time) and then repeated at 17:00-19:00 GMT (check your local time) via Cochrane’s virtual events online platform, Hopin. You only need to attend one session.

In preparation, you’re invited to watch the following introductory videos from the session panel:

  • Message from Cochrane’s Governing Board Co-Chairs – Tracey Howe and Catherine Marshall;

  • Message from Cochrane’s Chief Executive Officer – Mark Wilson;

  • Message from Cochrane’s Editor-in-Chief – Karla Soares-Weiser.

You are invited to submit questions to the panel in advance of the session about any of the themes in their videos, here: https://padlet.com/cochraneevents/vu8huwe5z7nm6syu. These questions will be answered live at the session or afterwards in writing. You’re also welcome to ask questions live at the event.

At the end of each session there will be an opportunity to join smaller, interactive groups for a ‘virtual coffee break’. This coffee break is a chance to re-connect with colleagues In an informal setting, share your experiences from the last 12 months, and suggest topics and ideas to inform our online Governance Meetings, to be held 17-19th May 2021.

We look forward to meeting with you next week. In the meantime, should you have any questions, please contact support@cochrane.org

With our best wishes,
