Introduction to the new Cochrane Equity Content Strategy

Event date
February 2019

Health equity is the absence of avoidable and unfair differences in health. Cochrane Reviews can inform decision making by considering the distribution of effects in the population and implications for equity. Equity in all reviews means a consideration not just of the possibility of differential effects, but also consideration of the representativeness of the study populations and applicability of findings to practice and policy.
