Type II or type III radical hysterectomy compared to chemoradiotherapy as a primary treatment for stage IB2 cervical cancer

  • To determine if primary surgery for stage IB2 cervical cancer (type II or type III radical hysterectomy) improves survival compared to primary chemoradiotherapy.
  • To determine if primary surgery and appropriate postoperative adjuvant treatment, if indicated for stage IB2 cervical cancer increases the morbidity in treatment of stage IB2 cervical cancers compared to primary chemoradiotherapy.
