2.2.9.5 What if someone seems to be using the symbol (with/without text) or name inappropriately?

The Cochrane Operations Unit should be informed as soon as possible of any apparently inappropriate use of the logo, symbol or name. If offence is caused to anyone by use of a modified logo, or if an official document does not bear the official logo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) should be informed. Such instances will be discussed by the Steering Group, together with the relevant Cochrane entity (if there is one). If the Steering Group decides that the use is inappropriate, the Co-Chairs or CEO will write to the organisation or person responsible, asking that they stop using the logo, symbol and/or name. If they do not comply, appropriate action will be taken to enforce this request.
