As the number of Cochrane reviews increases, so does the need for overviews in which the evidence from a collection of reviews on a particular topic is brought together in a single document. Andrew Moore from the Nuffield Division of Anaesthetics at the University of Oxford in England describes such an overview, which was published in September 2011 and is the culmination of a project tackling the research on a large series of pain relieving drugs.
