As the number of systematic reviews increases, a new type of Cochrane review is appearing which summarises the evidence from a collection of reviews. Sophie Hill, Coordinating Editor of the Cochrane Consumers and Communication Group, describes one such Cochrane overview which examines the evidence on consumer-oriented interventions for evidence-based prescribing and medicines use and was published in May 2011.
