The challenges of dementia extend to the people providing care for the person affected and the search for effective strategies to help them is an important one. A new Cochrane Review in November 2011 brings together the evidence on one element of the psychosocial interventions that might be used. Myrra Vernooij-Dassen (top) from the University Medical Centre Nijmegen in the Netherlands outlines the findings of the review she has done with Irena Draskovic (below), Jenny McCleery and Murna Downs.
