In December 2009, the authors of the Cochrane Review on the use of neuraminidase inhibitors for influenza in healthy adults, highlighted doubts about the quality of the evidence of this class of drug. In January 2012, they have updated the review and combined it with the Cochrane Review of the effects in children.
