The Fellowship is open to all those working (employed or honorary) in a Cochrane entity towards producing, updating, disseminating or promoting the accessibility of Cochrane Reviews. Funds are made available annually for one successful applicant to travel to and work in another Cochrane entity for a period of up to one month. After attending the course, participants should be able to understand review project management, data extraction, the difference between quantitative and qualitative data synthesis. They will be able to combine continuous and dichotomous outcome data (e.g. rates and means), combine results data from Interrupted Time-Series studies, produce SoF and RoB tables and use Grade Profiler. The purpose of this position is to support the Principle Investigators in performing systematic reviews in internal medicine, pharmacotherapy, and urology, and to provide support to professional organizations in the formulation of practice guidelines. Duties include developing searches of bibliographic databases for relevant data, data abstraction and synthesis, data analysis, and assisting in writing reports and presenting data for national audiences. Other tasks include bibliographic database management, preparation for meetings, oversight of technical support, and the preparation of summary data tables and evidence profiles using the GRADE approach.
