Details: fellowship will provide an excellent opportunity for you to undertake structured methodology training and gain research experience in medical statistics within a supportive and vibrant research environment. The fellowship will provide funding to undertake an MSc in Medical Statistics during the first year (optional dependant on previous experience), followed by generic training in health-related research and research methods with specific focus on the design and analysis of clinical trials and evidence synthesis during the second year. The fellowship will provide the necessary skills for a career as an applied statistician working in medical research.

You should have a 1st class honours or a 2:1 degree in a subject with a strong mathematics or statistics component. Individuals with a 1st class honours or a 2:1 degree in other fields who have quantitative skills and familiarity with statistical ideas (eg science, engineering, health related discipline, economics) may be also considered. The post is available until 30 September 2014.
