All-Ireland Evidence-Based Practice Forum - Invitation to participate in online discussion forum
As a follow-up to the Forum on Evidence-Based Practice held last April 8th in Dr. Steevens' Hospital, Dublin, we are writing to formally invite key stakeholders in the field of evidence-based practice, to participate in an online discussion forum whose broad aim will be to scope out the future development of evidence-based practice across the island of Ireland.
To register and log in, visit http://www.thehealthwell.info/user/register. Once logged in, click on "All-Ireland Evidence-Based Practice Forum" in the right-hand column of the webpage, and then "join" in the right-hand column of the Forum's homepage. Then engage in the discussion!
We hope to tap into the expertise of a community of health practitioners across the island in order to identify the skills, resources and supports necessary to build and sustain a culture of evidence-based practice. There are three initial topics which we're opening for discussion:
"What competencies are needed to sustain evidence-based practice?"
"What training programmes and online resources are required to build evidence-based practice knowledge and skills?"
"What networking tools are needed to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources?"
The topics will run until December 31st 2011. At the end of our discussion forum on December 31st, we'll collate responses received into a summary document and distribute to all forum participants.
