The Cochrane Editorial Unit aims to ensure that The Cochrane Library maintains its reputation as the international source of trustworthy, independent, and relevant information to guide healthcare decisions. The Cochrane Editorial Unit supports all 53 Cochrane Review Groups and other entities to ensure that The Cochrane Library continues to meet the varied needs of users, and appropriately reflects the commitment of Cochrane Review Group teams and authors.

The five posts for a Managing Editor (ME) Support Person are attached to the Cochrane Editorial Unit. The five posts along with the ME Support Manager will form the ME Support team to provide induction training, ongoing training, and support to MEs in all aspects of their role within a Cochrane Review Group. Cochrane Review Groups are located throughout the world and five part-time posts are available in different regions: Asia & Oceania (1 post); Continental Europe and Africa (1 post); North and South America (1 post); and UK (2 posts).

It is essential that the successful candidate has direct, practical experience of a Cochrane Review Group editorial base so this post will be of interest to current MEs who wish to be seconded from their current posts for a percentage of their working week.
