German region workshops

Basic course in evidence-based medicine

This course is an introduction for users of systematic reviews as well as for participants who consider writing a review themselves and want to get more information about the whole process.

Participants gain insight into the background of systematic reviews and their role in evidence-based medicine. In addition, they learn to evaluate studies and reviews critically in guided group work.

Hands-on tutorial on the Cochrane Library, Medline and RevMan (Review software).

Other Cochrane workshops

Dates: Thu 9th September (1000 hrs - 1645 hrs) & Fri 10th September (900 hrs - 1500 hrs), 2010.
Venue: Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Target group: review authors who are planning to do a Cochrane DTA review. Others are welcome, spaces permitting.

Accomodation: to be arranged by the participants themselves. Suggestions for hotels are provided on request.
