To reveal who has the Website Source checked out:

  1. Right-click on the Website Source and, from the context menu that opens, select Properties.

  2. A new window opens at the General tab:

This tab tells us the general properties of the Website Source including: its title, the type of document it is, when it was first created, when it was last modified, and next to Availability whether or not the document is currently checked out and, if so, when it was checked out and by whom.
  3. If the document is checked out, you may contact the person who has it checked out and ask him or her to check the document back in so that you may edit it. Or, you may contact some one has the role of Super User in the entity and ask that person to "undo the check-out".

If the document is checked out, and the person to whom it is checked is you (!), you may open the Website Source and (right-click on Website Source and select Edit) and check it in by clicking on Save and Exit or Exit.

If you are a Super User in the entity to which the Website Source belongs, you may undo the check-out: right-click on the Website Source and select Undo Check-out. Be advised that any changes made to the document after it was most recently saved will be lost.

  4. In the File menu select New and then, in the sub-menu that appears, click on Web site.

If you can't see Web site in the New sub-menu, then please confirm that you have the Web Publisher role in the selected entity, and that the entity does not already have a Website Source. Each entity can have only one Website Source, and only Web Publishers and Super Users of th entity can create its Website Source.

  5. Expand the Documents folder of the entity which was selected to reveal.

On the right, the list of documents, you should now be able to see a Website Source. If you still can't see one, try again to create a new one. If you then still haven't been able to create one, then please contact the Cochrane Web Team.
