Organisation of the working party

A teleconference of the small group (Frank Archer, Mike Clarke and Sally Green; unfortunately, Paul Garner, Pisake Lumbiganon and Prathap Thayan were unable to join the call) took place on 1 February 2005. A teleconference of as many members of the working party as possible will be arranged for sometime in February, depending mainly on the availability of people in the region. The agenda will include an update from the region, the structure of the website for summaries, the priority list of reviews and a proposed media release.

Communication

The summaries of Cochrane reviews (and signposts to other evidence) will be included in the special section of The Cochrane Collaboration's website soon. A test version of the relevant part of the website is being prepared. A media release is being prepared for use when summaries are available "live" on the website and the BMJ "News" section have expressed an interest in writing about it.

Suggestions of reviews to prioritise

Prathap Thayan, Pisake Lumbiganon and their colleagues helped to prioritise the list of suggestions of potentially relevant reviews. Since then, further suggestions have been received on issues relating to rehabilitation, pregnancy and mental health. A revised list is being prepared and will be circulated first to the working party. This list will include information from the assessment of the preparedness of Cochrane reviews for summaries, as well as recently supplied information from the relevant CRGs on some of the prioritised reviews.
