PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: To examine the effects of pravastatin on total mortality and on cause-specific mortality.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: To examine the effects of pravastatin on total coronary events within sub-populations: primary vs secondary prevention, the elderly, men and women, patients with diabetes, current smokers, patients receving antihypertensive treatment, and categories of patients with specific baseline lipid levels.
OUTCOME MEASURES: Total deaths, CAD deaths, non-CAD deaths, cancer, trauma.
STATUS: PMA protocol published. Individual trials complete - waiting publication.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To compare the efficacy of gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists with the standard long protocol of GnRH agonists for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation in assisted conception.
OUTCOME MEASURES: Prevention of premature LH stage, Pregnancy rate per woman, Pregnancy rate per cycle as determined by serum B-hCG and ultrasound examination for foetal heart activity, Number of oocyte retrieved per cycle, Pregnancy rate per oocyte retrieval, Pregnancy rate per embryo transfer, Spontaneous miscarriage rate, E2 level on day of hCG, Duration of GnRH analogue treatment, Amount of gonadotrophins used, Incidence of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, Cost effectiveness as determined by the amount of gonadoptrophin units used and cost / pregnancy.
