Finding medical information and advice

The Cochrane Collaboration does not provide a general information service. For medical advice, please consult your physician.

If you have a specific medical research question, you can:

  1. Explore the freely available abstracts and plain-language consumer summaries of Cochrane Reviews.
  2. Consult the full-text reviews in The Cochrane Library by subscription or by visiting your nearest medical library.
  3. Search the Internet for a trusted health consumer information website or an organisation which focuses on your specific area of interest. The CNN article "Tips for savvy medical Web surfing" offers useful background information and starting points.

If your question relates to the activities or organisation of The Cochrane Collaboration, please contact your nearest Cochrane Centre.
