Governance

Cochrane is a charity registered in the United Kingdom and is governed under our Articles of Association.

Cochrane's Governing Board comprises 13 members, including some elected from the among Cochrane’s contributors, and some appointed external members. The Board is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Cochrane’s strategic direction. See the full membership of the Board.

The Board oversees the work of Cochrane's Chief Executive Officer and Central Executive team, which supports development and delivery of all work across Cochrane groups and projects. (See more information about our organizational structure.)

Cochrane reviewed and updated the structure of the Board in 2016. Further information is available on the Community website.
