Paediatric Formulations of Artemisinin-Combination Therapies for Treating Uncomplicated Malaria in Children

The aim of this systematic review is to assess the effects of paediatric fixed-dose ACT compared to non-paediatric ACT in the treatment of uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria in children up to 14 years old.

Specific objectives are:

  1. To assess the efficacy of paediatric fixed-dose ACT compared to non-paediatric ACT for treating uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria in children up to 14 years old.
  2. To assess the safety and tolerability of paediatric fixed-dose ACT compared to non-paediatric ACT for treating uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria in children up to 14 years old.
  3. To assess the acceptability of paediatric fixed-dose ACT compared to non-paediatric ACT for treating uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria in children up to 14 years old.
